Getting vehicle NOC (No objection certificate)

During my employment I've worked in 3 different states and need less to say that I have always relied on my bike to commut to office. We all know the fear of being caught by traffic constable/inspector in the other state. But here is way, getting an No Objection Certificate (NOC) for your current registering RTO.

To safely (w/o being harrssed by cops) drive/ride vehicle registered in a different state, there are two method.

1. Carry fuel bills of a petrol pump located in your registering state. An ideal difference between two bills is 2 months. When traffic cops aks your bribe for outside vehicle first things to say "I can legally travel my bike fora year in another state without any NOC". I've said that got away, once I was caught. But even if he insits than show him the bills. He won't tough you.
(BTW, I was stopped 3 times by traffic cops and everytime got away but one thing was : all these cops noted down my registration number.) Those who don't know they actually report an outside vehicle to the head office so as to catch him after one year no-NOC grace period is over.

2. This is legal but tedious way, specially when you have a vehicle on loan. The cost of NOC is zero. yes. There is no fees and Police report is required if your changing the "state". After NOC you can apply for refund of tax (Form DT). In new state you need to file form No 33 for change of address to be recorded in the Certificate of Registration (RC). Once again, process is a bit tedious if there a loan. Agent cost is Rs 800 for NOC. One should forget refund of tax, as officers will make your run from piller to post (in case of intet-state transfer).

I would say, one should go for #1, a very simple and extremely cost effective way of living in different state. #2 for a car costs around 25 thousand (and for bike like 10K) and RTO can make your n number of rounds to office.

Happy driving/riding.

Hi Aseem,

I'm doing good. Well, it is not my but your unprofessional attitude taht made me to stay away from BMC. I believe Naveen must have spoken to you in this regard. It takes me 2 atleast any time I need to come for visit. Last time when I turned up, there was no one for meet. When I contacted Naveen, he said that he was not feeling well and 2-3 more members were not coming so they just scraped the meet that day. Well, I could have been informed too dude. THAT WAS A UNPREFESSIONAL ATTITUDE ON YOUR SIDE. Worst was yet to come. When I asked Naveen about meet being cancelled, he said about having had a fight with his manager for release (he had put papers and wanted to leave his compnay soon). Due to dght he was feeling low and decided not to come and "also got meet cancelled". Let me ask you one thing straight, is the club on the mercy of founding/leading members. I don't think so and that why I've decided to leave BMC. It was nothing started from my side BUT YOU.

Meeting being cancelled is OK. I got no problem with that. But try to understand, I came to know only when I reached there.

I'll surely meet you and collect the money. Please let me know your cell number (Don't scrap. send mail).

Thanks for visit to my blogs. Read the top most like of it. I write straight from my heart. Probably you forgot to read replies from Naveen. Your kinda attitude is very much disheartening. I don't show any kinda disrespect to you and I have no time for thinking it. Mind your words!

Biking is your passion and you need not tell me. I don't know if my blogs hurt you sooooooooo much. There was nothing wrong from your side.. but.. I fail to understand why have you using this kinda language. Dude, all memeber are interested in make the club happen as much they can. I don't know your and your ability to make Club sucessful. I must agree that BMC will be successful sooner or later, but I'm not part of it.

Let me know if you fidn anything wrong with the blogs. Reply or post comment. I'll surely change it. I don't write what makes me feel good. I write anything memorable (good or bad) with time constraint.

You need not be sorry. but I don't think ther was any unprofessional attitude started by me. Nothing is rubbish, untrue on my blogs. Probably you should ask the mber(s) who cancelled the meet. I feel that's better. I have been biking for pretty long time and among 100+ people I know no one has even travelled more than 50 km in single stretch and I have done close to 200 without taking a single second break. I do not need a certification/affiliation from you or BMC for me being a good biker.

why shouyld I care about someone else also having come and disappointed due to not having informed about cancelled meet. It could have been put on BMC forum atleast by 6 PM. Meet starts by 7:30.

I never ever sopke to anyone about the club. I don't know you actually. did you hear me having haid any comment about you then those are fabricated and wrong. I don't even know where you stay in Bangalore. I've never said anything good/bad about you to anyone.
----------------

dude... It was very well conveyed to Naveen that I wouldn't be coming to meet hence forth. Last week, indeed I was traveling. I'm in Bangalore now.

Naveen is a coward having deleted those scraps today . I feel pity on him.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I came to know Naveen through MicroStrategy forum. He was the one who introduced me to Bangalore Motoring Club. Had a good ride! need less to say. But I freaked out at his attitude. That's history. He deleted those Orkut scraps that I had posted in earlier blog, such a loser. Has marked me to "ignore" on Orkut. It was coincident that I browsed "BMC" friend group and found him missing.

Mumbai ka trafic mashaallah

Yesterday I had gone to attend a schoolmates sister's wedding. Hate not to go out on bike, but decided as I had no idea about the place, which came out to be true. I had not been to that area ever before, never had to. Well, got out by 7 from home and by 7:15 I had a shave. Reached bus stop to go to Ghatkopar (E). While traveling on bus (340), I spoke with Prafful if he was free to meet up. We had not met for quite some time, but he had office. Reached close to NASEOH, where the wedding function was going on, by 8:25. Thought to get a bouquet. I opted for a orchid flower bouquet for Rs 250 bucks. Finally managed to get one and reached the place by 9:15. Met the bride and groom. I was pleasing surprised that she remembered my name. We had never seen each other. As I had seen my friend Sudha going out just about to meet up bride, I decided straight hit for dinner plate. When I finished sweets (I eat sweet before meal as sweet increases your hunger) and a chapati, I saw her coming back. We were really surprised because we had never thought that we would ever meet up. We got the reconnection due to Orkut. I believe time was less. She asked to finished the dinner and then meet up. I finished the dinner. Something that I really like about wedding parties is that no one stares me for my unusual way of eating. Call this the bad effect of pampering. I had food and left soon. I believe that was good as Sudha must have been damn damn busy with her own relatives. I know it very well how busy you can be during wedding parties. At the time of leaving party, we planned to meet up with all classmates before she leaves back (on 11th feb).

After this the agony starts. It was 10:30 when I left. I was not out of time so decided to go by bus "somehow" (I was not knowing the place at all, so which bus to take and stop was totally deserted). I waited for 5 minutes and decided to take a rick. I had traveled just 200 meters and on the flyover there was a jam. It was damn irritating. Took me 10 minutes to get out of that traffic and the stupid Maruti Swift driver who was just ahead of us really gave the driver a harrowing time. It was past 10:45 and the road connecting Chembur and Ghatkopar was crowded. Mainly due to people jamming into No entry zone. I was shocked to see all that. Never thought people in Mumbai also do it. The the road that lest you cross Ghatkopart East to West was pathetic experience. There was three lane traffic in the no entry against us. Wow.... India teri jai hai... I reached Ghatkopar station by 11:15, a distance that would take me just 5 minutes on my bike on a zerotraffic day. Well, worst was ahead. The link between LBS Road and Asalpha which is a vital road is just 30 feet wide and mere 15 meters away from the corner there was a punctured rick. People looking to cut across all lanes adn take left right and center. Woof... There were some gentlemen who were managing the traffic and they did a pretty good job. Finally even that traffic got over. I had never thought that anyone on Sakinaka junction would ever dare to cross lights, but yes, when bus reached Sakinaka signal, there were so many bikers who jumped signal. I wised the bus crush these guys. One of them actually stood right ahead of bus negotiating the traffic, coming from right (direction) side. Driving dangerously is cool, breaking singanl is not. I just checked my watch. It was 11:40. I was shocked that such a small journey took such a long time. I reached home at mid night. For first time in life it took me more time while returning back. People in India need to improve their traffic sense a lot. I have broken lights once because I was confused if the signal does exist. Generally there is free left turn leading to high way. I go for a tea break with my teammates which is a one way. But I see a biker and have seen even buses and trucks in wrong direction. who just f*** up traffic. one bloody god damn guy screses up the whole lane in other (correct) direction.
