  3. You should do:
    regsvr32 C:\Program Files\MicroStrategy\Desktop\M3OBJEXP.OCX

  4. Doesn't work. Tried de-registering/registering. Just gonna uninstall anyways and won't install it again. Too much pain.

  5. Seems like you are giving up too easily. Worked fine for me when installing.

  6. Having done more than 300+ installations of MicroStrategy, I know it well to get installed when there are issues. The time just doesn't worth it. May be I'll install in VMWare image. ;-)

  7. What OS/version are you using? Generally when we see this error it indicates that the installation is being attempted on an unsupported OS or OS version. You can also check the ReadMe file for more details. If it is supported, open a support ticket by emailing your regional support office. Hope this helps!

  8. What version of Windows XP are you using?

I'm using Microsoft Windows Xp x64 with SP2. This was a second installation with previous version uninstalled. I had installed it in a new directory. I had duly restarted the machine after the v9 installation asked me (This is common when some traces of previous installation are left behind). But I've done at least 100 installations on Windows, such an installation have never faced any issue.
MSTR v9 on Windows XP x64 is supported but MicroStrategy doesn't recommand running a PROD system on it.
I doubt MSTR would provide support for Evaluation license.
    Thanks.

It is sad to see MSTR not working. I wanted to post about new features of v9.
